I am, however, looking forward to a new year, with new objectives and focuses for my business. I'm not huge on New Year's resolutions, but I have decided to pursue a few business goals in the upcoming year:
- Balance- I know this goal will be the hardest to keep, which is why I'm blogging it. I've decided to make an actual work schedule for myself and stick to it. If you own a small business you know that you can easily spend every waking minute working on it (I've been guilty of this many times). While my business is my passion, my family will always be my number one priority.
- Education- If there's one thing that's clear to me, it's that photography is an art where the learning never ends. This year I'm going to make learning a clear priority in my business. I already have a few seminars and a mentorship with one of my favorite photographers on my calendar.
- Personalized sessions- I have decided to scale back the amount of sessions I take each week, so I can offer my clients more personalized service. I want each session to reflect the vision my clients have for their shoot. I will now be offering a pre-session consultation to discuss wardrobe, vision and location/staging ideas. I'm currently working on style guides for every type of session as well. Along with more personalization, I will be blogging each session so my clients and I can look back on the memories forever.
Thanks for reading and I am truly thankful for the support of each of you! BRING ON 2013!!
